Perfect Day wedding video
Leave Fern Britton alone!
Scared for our kids
June's a Batman fan
Have you seen the trailer for the new Batman film The Dark Knight? I just watched it and it looks absolutely amazing. I'd read about Heath Ledger being brilliant as The Joker and from this little snippet, it looks like the reviews were right. Will you be going to see it? I can't wait. I don't think I'll have had as much fun since The Bourne Ultimatum!
Anyway, check the Batman trailer out and see what you think...
'My new telly obsession'
I've got a new telly obsession! Having felt a bit lost since I'd Do Anything finished, I've been enjoying myself at the weekends with Doctor Who. Can you blame me?! Anyway, now the Doctor's gone too - after a brilliant final episode - but all is not lost.
Last weekend, by pure chance, I caught Last Choir Standing. 'This'll be boring,' I thought, about to change channels. But then this amazing gospel choir started singing and I was hooked. And of course, I cried, as I always do at that these reality TV shows. My husband thinks I'm mad. Anyway, I shall be glued to the telly on Saturday night for the second episode. Tissues at the ready!
'When did I start Mum Dancing?'
The other day I was dancing in the kitchen to a David Bowie Greatest Hits CD when the kids came in. They laughed so hard I thought they were going to keel over. I was really hacked off!
Then I remembered splitting my sides at the sight of my mum dancing in the kitchen and how cross she'd been. What goes around, comes around, eh?
I suppose Mum Dancing is always going to be funny to the kids, but maybe I should call their bluff and make a video of myself doing a Girls Aloud number in the kitchen, post it on YouTube and become a star. Who's laughing? I heard that!
I'm not really going to do it, don't worry. But in Pick Me Up this week (the magazine I edit, remember?) we've got a story about a girl called Sophie Merry whose mate videoed her dancing in the back garden and posted it on YouTube. She's now the new face of the clothing chain Etam.
I've been studying the video (below) to get some tips. Maybe I could be the new face of Poundland! Ha ha!
'Happy birthday me!'
It's my birthday! And it's been a top day so far. My 11-year-old daughter got up at the same time as me (6am -painful) so that she could watch me open my presents. She'd gone to Camden Market for the first time on Sunday with her friend and her dad and she'd bought me a lovely necklace. Out of her own money too!
Needless to say neither of my son's stirred out of bed. That's far too early for them.
Tonight we're all off to an Italian restaurant where I will forget all about healthy eating and most definitely have three courses ending in profiteroles. Bring it on!
'I've had a facelift!'
Have you heard about the computer facelift? I think it's a brilliant idea. You upload a digital photo of yourself and then choose what you want altered. How easy is that?
I've always liked the idea of improving what you've got but a) I'm too much of a coward to have surgery b) I don't want to end up like the Bride of Wildenstein and c) I don't want to spend thousands of pounds. So this is right up my street.
I gave myself a nose job this morning! Give it a go - liftmagic.com - it's brilliant!
