Kerry Katona hits back

Unless you had your head in a paper bag and were wearing super-strong earplugs yesterday, you can't have missed the scandal caused by Kerry Katona's appearance on This Morning.

The ex-Atomic Kitten was interviewed by Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton live on the show. She slurred her words and seemed confused, prompting fears for her health.

Well, since the programme, the world and his wife have had their say about it. Here's the latest...

Max Clifford (Kerry's publicist)

'There's no way she should have been allowed to do that show. Had I been with her, she wouldn't have done. I must admit after today and in view of what's gone on over the last couple of months, I am increasingly concerned for her health and happiness.'

Mark Croft (Kerry's husband)

'One of the side effects of her drugs is slurred speech and, as Kerry took the drugs late and was up early, it was particularly bad today. Kerry would like to categorically state for the record that that the only thing she drank before the show was cups of tea.'

'I've got an illness and they [Phil and Fern] should appreciate that. It's all down to the amount of tablets I'm on for my bi-polar disorder. I'm fine now, I was only like I was this morning because I took my tablets too late last night.'

'Normally we would have time to sit down with the guest, but because she arrived so late, she didn't give anyone any time to sit down with her.

I think she's one of those people who has a denial about her current condition – and there's no denying that yesterday she was in 'a condition'.'
