Pete's desperate for Valentine's love

Peter Andre looking for love
Sad star Peter Andre yearns for someone special as 14 February looms…

Peter Andre should be on cloud nine. He's just released a new album of love songs, is about to embark on the biggest tour of his life and is soon to publish his long-awaited autobiography. But he still has a large girlfriend-shaped hole in his life.

Friends say that despite embarking on an exciting couple of months, Peter, 36, who's been single since he split from ex-wife Jordan, 31, last May, wants to meet someone special.

Just last week, the star admitted that he's back on the dating scene and would like to have plans for Valentine's Day. He said: 'I love being romantic. I'm really looking forward to it.'

Unfortunately, on Valentine's Day Peter will be spending the day looking after his kids - stepson Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and Princess, two - then in the evening he'll be rehearsing for the Brit Awards, where he's presenting ITV2's backstage coverage of the award ceremony at London's Earls Court Arena on 16 February.

'Pete'd love to go on a date on Valentine's Day, but he's looking after the children - and they are his No 1 priority,' says a friend. 'He's busy with work, but is still determined to fit some dating in. He'd love a girlfriend to focus his energy on.'
