Winter vomiting virus

We all got this just at the start of December and I didn't realise that it had a special name. It was pretty horrible and now I know what it was, I feel a lot better.

has anyone else had it? I'm worried I could get it again, because people i work with have got it more than once. it's worse for the kids - ihate it when i cant do anything for my little girl

You had me at 'hello!'

I think I've got the winter vomiting virus now too and I'm scared of giving it to my family.

I've been throwing up all yesterday and had to take the day off work. I'm really worried I'll pass it on to my children and don't want them to miss school.

The doctor won't see me and just says I should stay at home and drink water. Surely there's something else I can do? I feel terrible.

How did you get over it? And how long did it take?

i had the vomiting bog just after christmas and my partner had it over christmas. my eldest child had it the week before and it missed my other child. all i did was starve for 24 hours and only drank water. this helped to get get rid of it more quickly but left us all week for 3 or 4 days afterwards. also it left us no wanting to eat much for a few days afyerwards

My mum had the bug for almost 4 weeks! my dad has it now and myself and my 2 1/2 year old and my 8 month old all had just before christmas! Its been realy lowsy but mum said that drinking the lemsip max all in one stuff helped her it got rid of her soar throat and stopped her feeling so sick! maybe you should all try it plus you can get it in the pill form too so if you dont like the tast of the lemon lemsip stuff you can take the pills! how great is that! no more yucky lemon taste.  I think all medicines should taste sweet lol x
