School reports

I read in the paper today that instead of getting school reports and going to parents evenings I’ll be able to see how my children are doing through the school’s website.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I really like meeting my kids teachers and I know it’s sad, but I’ve kept all of their reports. But I guess this way I’ll know if there’s a problem straight away!

Part of me thinks it must be so much more hard work for the teachers too.

 To be honest, I wouldn't like the idea of my reports being on the internet for everyone to see. I guess it's ok if you can have your own password though, to every individual kid's report, so that only you can see it; but that would just be even more work for the school.

Why don't you get other mothers around to talk to the school about it?

I can find many issues with this method of checking up on your children.
