talking @ 3yrsover 2 years agohi everyone, please help! My son will be 4 this may and has always been very ahead with everything for his age, he was toilet trained since 16 months, could count to 10 not long after and is really well behaved. wheres my problem? Well.. he is having trouble pronouncing some letters when he talks. this was not very noticible at first but over the past few months he has become a bit worse. He says "kelly" like " telly", " sweets" like " feets" etc etc. We try and tell him how it should sound then ask him to repeat i but its impossible for him and really frustrating for us. how can we help him, i hate having strangers look at me for an explination if they dont understand a certain word. any advice would be helpfull, thanks |

Re: talking @ 3yrsover 2 years agohia....does your son have a dummy or had a dummy?? if he has this could be your problem. My son is 3yrs and used 2 have a dummy but i weened him of it before he started talking. if he still had a dummy when he started talking then this would affect his speech if not then he may be developing a lisp or may just have a few problems with speech which he should grow out of in time. good luck with this!! |
