potty training 2

Hi again,same topic,same child.
My girl(2 and 8 months) has been very good with doing wee .Poop is a big problem. She had terrible constipation for full 4 days (for her was normal to poop every day).On 3rd and 4th day she has been hysterical, crying all the time, nothing could calm her down.I didn't know what to do.On the fifth day laxatives which I have given to her, finaly worked and she opened her bowels. That was on Sunday.Yesterday and today she didn't do poop again, wee normal even going alone to the toilet on the play group. This evening she started to show again same symptoms of being hysterical due to constipation.I did as gp said, continued with laxative(lactulose) which will make things soft, she will not be able to keep it.But she is holding it again. She is suffering so much!I don't know what to do.Did anyone had simmilar problems with their child?I 'm telling her that she doesn't have to do poop in the potty but in the nappy if she likes but nothing.Poor little thing, crying so much.

Please,help.

HI

no its easier said  than done but if you can try and relax a bit about the whole situ maybe little one will to, some times when we make a fuss about something, it can make the situation a whole lot worse, she will be more aware of doing poop now as it has been a issue.

i would just leave potty there and leave her to watch cartoons or something while sat on it, also plenty of fruit and fibre,

i have 4 children and have just toilet trained my son he is 2yr 7 months its hard going for us mums hope alls well take care xx

Thanks.
I think I was relaxed on the first place and didn't pay too much attention until constipation become painful.I was hoping it will come naturaly. Now,I probably need to relax more. Thanks very much for reminding me.
