TRYING TO CONCEIVE

HI IV BEEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE FOR 3 MONTHS BUT HAVING TROUBLE I ALREADY AM BLESSED WITH A 15 MONTH SON AND FELL VERY QUICKLY CONSIDERING I HAD A MISCARRIAGE 2 MONTHS BEFORE.

ANYWAY MY LAST PERIOD WAS THE 19TH DEC MY CYCLE IS 28-32 DAYS I WAS DUE ON LAST WEEK BUT NOTHING I HAV DONE A PREGNANCY TEST TODAY WHICH WAS NEGATIVE.

IM SLIGHTLEY CONCERNED BECAUSE THIS HAS ONLY HAPPEND ONCE AND THAT WAS WHEN I WAS PREGNANT. I DONT FEEL PREGANT I HAV NO SICKNESS MY BOOBS FEEL SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AND I HAV A BURNING PAIN IN MY CHEST BUT THATS IT.

I HAV BEEN TO THE DOCS AND THEY SAID IF IM NOT PREGNANT BY JUNE THEN COME BACK.

IM TRYING TO NOT STRESS OUT AND RELAX, SHOULD I JUST CARRYING ON TTC AND PUT MY LACK OF PERIOD DOWN TO ONE OF THOSE THINGS.

ANY ADVISE AND HELP WOULD B VERY GRATEFUL

THANKYOU

Hi sorry to hear your having these problems. Where do I start, when I was trying for my son it took 1 year I thought it would never happen and he's 10 now. If it was me I would wait another week and do a repeat pregnancy test it's maybe too early to do the test, also make sure you are testing first thing in the mornin when the hormone level will be higher. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, please let me know how it's all going, I'm sure there will be another one running about soon.

LOL

hi - it took me 13 months to get pregnant with my first and I kept stressing about it every month, all my friends were pregnant and even my gp! but I took her advice which was to just relax, eat healthy, exercise and use an ovulation kit - this worked after 3 months. I don't know why but some of my friends had trouble conceiving second time round it took them longer than they expected so you're not alone. try a repeat pregnancy test and then think about the ovulation tests - good luck x

WOmen build up the HCG hormone that pregnancy tests detect at different rates - even in the same women with different pregnacies. Couple this with the fact that different tests work off different level,s and that could explain the BFN you got.

Leave it a few days and try testing again, Tesco and Asda own brand tests are good and work off a low level of hcg.

Good luck! Wishing you get a BFP!
