No more clicking knees!

Just thought I would let you all know that I am going to join the gym and get up off my @rse and do some exercise :o) I reckon if I have to answer to you guys then I'm more likely to do it!

I work full time at a desk job and, like most mums, spend most of my free time taking my girls to extra curricular activities as my husband works shifts and can't be relied upon the same time each week for them. In the past few months I have noticed going upstairs to bed and waking up in the morning that my knees click - honestly, it is quite bad, I sound like a cricket! I'm sure it's lack of exercise.

I eat quite healthily (apart from giving in to too many crisps) but I have a spare tyre which won't shift. My local gym which is just round the corner from work charges about £30 a month or something like that and that includes the pool and all the exercises classes. So I'm going to go to the exercise classes I fancy when I have the time and, if not, I will go to the gym.

That's the idea anyway. Am signing up for it this week so watch this space!

Keep Smiling and Eat Well :o)

Have you tried cod liver oil for your joints?

It sounds to me like youjust need to exercise a bit more to get more flexible. Make sure you do lots of streching so you don't hurt yourself.

How did you lose two stone?

I will try cod liver oil (even though it's disgusting!), didn't think of that - thanks!

Am not joining a gym after all, can't fit it in with hubby on shifts and the girls. BUT I am going to start running at the weekend so watch this space!

Running is a really great way to help you lose weight, but as for those clicking knees be carefull about which trainers you wear as they could make the situation worse.   I was told that glucosamine tablets were supposed to be good for your joints!

hi nina I lost 2 stone by exercising, eating sensibly and sorry but No Alcohol...I know not good but soooo full of calories !  Take the cod liver oil tablets for your knees they have hardly any taste at all...only if you burp!I take the seven seas with Omega...very good...I do not go to the gym...hubby at work ...daughter at school etc... but use a stepper which is fantastic as you can use while watching your favourite programme and a twister  instead of just sitting on the settee....Hope this helps you

If you're going to go running them make sure you get decent trainers that support your joints. Run on grass as well if you can.
