infection

my 11year old son came home from school yersterday saying it hurts him when he wee,s and blood was coming from his penis i brought him straight to casualty were the doctor said it was a infection under his foreskin and prescribed a antibiotic for him.how did he get the infection?is it a normal thing for young boys to get ?

at 11 years old in this day and age a lot of boys start exploring themselves and finding out what they like and what they dont, maybe he has been experimenting a little too much? I'm not sure about that but a lot of the men i know started experimenting at about 11. If your desperate to know i'd just ask the doctor and they will be able to tell you!

Hi i have a 3 year old son and since being 2 he gets repeated infections at the end of his willy called balanitis. It causes him to have an temperture and sometimes travels into his urine system and this time the antibiotics caused him to have thrushin his mouth. We have all ready seen an consultant whom said his foreskin was normal. Me, my husband and our gp dissagreed and we are seeing the consultant again in september. There is a big possibility their cercumsize him, as his foreskin is very tight and can not be pulled back. I would keep on with your doctor as they won't help unless like us you really push for it.All the best x
