cooking without alchohol

i cant have alchohol but love cookin how can i replace wine in recipes such as coq a vin etc x k

Hi, I was a Chef, years ago, and I was told that when you cook with alcohol, the alcoholic content was cooked away, for example if using red wine in a spag bol, you are wanting the flavour of the wine not the alcohol, except in uncooked things like sherry trifle,which would get you tipsy, good luck

i no alchol is burnt away but i cant use any alchohol skin products eg shampoo moistirisers but thanks 4takin trouble 2 answer

Soz...you lost me...I thought you couldn't drink alcohol, for it's addictive reasons, you mean you have like an alergy to alcohol products?...Don't wash your hair in coq au vin !...that's all the advice I have!!!!! good luck x
