viruses from schools??about 1 year agomy son has been poorly all night, really high temp and horrible shivering! he never goes to bed when poorly, but slept all yesterday afternoon, and 12 hours last night. there are no spots or rash, keep checking, and he feels a bit nauseous. just hwant to check if this is a virus going round the schools and what other mums have experieinced. Learnt from past edperience not to both with docters!!

Re: viruses from schools??about 1 year agoIt can be very worrying when they are not themselves, I have two School children (and a Baby) and recently the school has said if they are ill, it could be a 48hr thing, and to keep them away from school. Keep his fluids up, wether it be juice or lukazade, what ever he likes, don't worry if he does'nt eat, this is very normal, control the temp. by giving him calpol, and let him sweat it out...hope he is feeling better soon X |

Re: viruses from schools??about 1 year agoUr welcome Lorraine, it's nice to help, we are expected to be everything when we are Mum's...from doctors, cooks, counsellors, my Mum (she passed away last year) used to say that she did the best she could but children don't come with instructions !
