Re: where do they get this stuff from11 months agoMe again - my 5 year old also told a girl in her class that she couldn't come to our house to play because I said her mum wore too much make up. I honestly didn't! Not a good look for Chair of Governors at the school *lol* She has a big and little sister and they have yet to come out with the gems she produces Keep Smiling and Eat Well :o) |

Re: where do they get this stuff from4 months agoMy (now) 6 year old's latest one, said to her friend who came for tea "why is your mum so fat?" I was absolutely mortified and could barely get out my explanation that that wasn't a kind thing to say and everyone was different shapes and sizes. Hasn't anyone else got anything to add - go on, I bet you have loads to tell! Keep Smiling and Eat Well :o) |

Re: where do they get this stuff from4 months agoI think its great to hear that its not just my children that say things to make us mums cringe. I was on the bus the other day with my 5 year old and a large lady got on the bus - as you can imagine the question was - "Mum that ladies having a baby - she is as big as a balloon" - to which I went bright red and told him to shhhh - and explained that I didn't think she was having a baby just had a large belly (lucky for me the lady had earphones on and did not hear the conversation). To which my son then said "Mum maybe she has drank too much juice and food - but she better slow down or she might pop!!!!" and then started to giggle - luckily we then got of the bus very quickly. Another time my husband was doing some work and shouted out if I would make him a cup of coffee to which my son then replied - "Gosh he doesn't want much does he!" - we all looked at him and laughed - my husband just looked at me and said "he's heard you say that" I think it can be embarrassing some times with what kids say but I think everyone has to remember they say what the see - which is part of their innocent and I think it should be treasured. |

Re: where do they get this stuff from4 months agoMy husband was tickling my 4 year old last week when she screamed at him to stop. He didn't (I know, he should have, the moment ahe said stop) and she said, very seriously, "I've just about had enough of you, dada!" I'll admit, that's one of mine when I'm at the end of my tether! |
