Interesting lunches...

Hi, I hope someone can help...

I'm trying to lose weight and maintain it. However, I'm not very good at resisting certain tempations and only have to look at a crisp to gain weight. I sit in an office all day and while I do go to the gym I can't go as often or for as long as I'd like, so I don't burn that many calories.

Does anyone have any good tips for a light, healthy, easy lunch that I could take to work with me? It needs to fill me up but with as little fat/calories as possible. I have salads at the moment but I'm getting bored. How can I liven them up? I'm really struggling to resist crisps and bread!

 Thanks!

goto tesco, buy some chicken breast and some paninis'. cook the chicken breast and let it cool, toast the panini and let it cool too then in the morning put the chicken breast in the panini with some salad! i practically lived off of these for about 2 months lol that and drinking lots and lots of water!!! nothing but water and i lost a stone! also going to the gym is ok but you dont want to turn the fat into muscle as muscle is heavier than fat, all you want to do is tone up and burn a few callories! go walking or for a jog in the park or something it's more fun and the summer is coming and it's cheaper than going to the gym lol. I was just over 19 stone when i started losing weight and in just 9 weeks i lost a stone! I was well chuffed the weight came of slowly but it came off and stayed off! its not about dieting, but changing the way of life for life! I hope this helps hun it worked for me!

That sounds great, thank you!

I'm only using the gym for a little exercise but am hoping to start classes instead (since I'm paying for it until September) and start jogging now the weather's better.

Congrats on your weight loss and I only hope it can work for me! I think I just need to cut out the rubbish I eat in between! I generally only drink water anyway.

 Thanks again!

Do you have a microwave at work? I sometimes take in those low fat, low calorie lunches and a bit of salad (I'm sure they're only low calorie because there's not enough in it for one person!). Makes a nice change once in a while because we know they're full of additives etc.

Also, I sometimes use lettuce leaves instead of bread and fill them with sandwich fillings. Or pitta bread is good instead of bread.

The idea is to keep varying what you take so you don't get bored :o)

Keep Smiling and Eat Well :o)
