Hello!! Im new !!about 1 month agoHi all. I have just joined up on here and am hoping to make some new friends!!! I have a 13month old daughter. Amelia. Shes gorgeous, very bright, is walking and saying a few words now. She says ta, mummy, daddy, Jess (the cat), yes, no, whats that. She knows what no means (ignores it most of the time but knows what it means). She has a real temper and the paddy queen !!! She goes to nursery 5 afternoons as i have to work full time, although i work from home. We live in Stourport on Severn in Worcestershire and all my family are in Surrey or south london so i only have my other half here really so im wanting to meet new friends. It difficult to meat people when you work from home and i didnt go to ante natal classes as i had Amelia too early so i havent met people up here really. Would be good to here back from some of you x |

Re: Hello!! Im new !!about 1 month agoHello, I'm Hannah, I'm not new !....Welcome....we like to put the world to rights, talk about our little ones etc...I have three, my youngest is 12 months old, He took his first 4 steps, not holding onto anything, we cheered him, which he loved!...he seems to have gone back to crawling as it's quicker, that first year goes so quickly, sorry to hear you had a tough time mish...hope you feeling more emotionally happy with things, as traumatic labours are difficult to get over, and I can relate to that, as well as the feelings of loneliness too, I focus as much as poss on the positive things, like my children, as every day provides another opportunity to see things the way they do....you think how exciting the world is to a one yr old?....I often think to myself, I brought him into this world, wow, clever me ! Don't sit up close at the ballet...it spoils the illusion... |

Re: Hello!! Im new !!about 1 month agoHello, I'm not new but like chatting to people on here because we are all women (apparently!) and I like to chat girlie things. My husband doesn't like me talking too much about how many loads of washing I did or having long conversations about when to put the kids to bed (I don't think many men do) so it's nice to come on here and sound off! I've found everyone on here to be very kind and sympathetic. Keep Smiling and Eat Well :o) |

Re: Hello!! Im new !!about 1 month agohi im not new either (i think myself hannah and nina are the veterains on here lol) i love to chat and i love to help people solve their problems. oh my names Nykita (obviously) i have 2 little girls Hope who is almost 3 and Faith who was 1 on april 23rd. Hope is at nursery on a monday and thursday morning and Faith has been walking since she was 10 and a half months old, she can say hiya, tata, cat, daddy, nana, mummy, whats that, see and im sure lots more that i cant think of lol. Both my girls are really bright and i love watching them grow up although it happens too fast! Both girls have a BIG temper and love to throw temper tantrums! sometimes its funny to watch but a lot of the time it does get me down as i have to cope with it 7 days a week 24 hours a day but somehow i find the strength and think to myself that they are my girls and they will be the only Hope and Faith ive got, i was sent them to look after and im going to make sure they are fit healthy and they know they are loved! Tell those closest to you that you love them as you never know when they might be gone! |

Re: Hello!! Im new !!about 1 month agohi im stef. i live in singapore and have just joined the site. I amm 44 years old. originally from Tasmania in Australia but been living here in lovely warm singapore for almost 8 years. I have 3 sons who are now 19, 17 and 13 and almost 5years ago i met my beautiful singporean daughter who was 4 at the time at my workplace as a nurse. she had been adopted but it had not worked out and a couple of months later through our good fortune she joined our family and I was able to experience the joy of a daughter. she is now almost 9. I am very lucky living here and we will probably live here another 3 years before we move to australia possibly queensland. I got my very first computer for mothers day....my own laptop.....my kids and husband have computers and because I was always have to use theirs it made it difficult to see or use any of these chat sites. I look forward to hearing from anyone and hearing any info. I have been married 21 years in december and find this a difficult period in life as with four children and all the normal stresses that life can bring ,,,there can be quite a bit of lonliness. I have a lot of friends here but enjoy connecting with different people. I have always struggles with my weight, and throughout the last couple of years have really tried to look to the future and exercise regularly and get to a nice maintainable weight where i am healthy as i get to midlife, will be 45 this year and face all the joy of midlife I believe if can be in good shape this transition and quality of life thereafter can be improved. I have managed to lose 12 kg in the last 18 months and have maintained this loss for almost a year. am currently 65 kg... would love to drop a few more but find it challenging...but am pretty happy to have at least achieved this....would love to hear from anyone and keep in touch stef |

Re: Hello!! Im new !!about 1 month agoHello, wow, singapore, how lovely?...Is the weather as humid as I have heard ?....I forget that this site goes out worldwide, here I am splattered all over it !....Yes we all like to chat, and it's nice that we are all ladies together, getting everything out of our system....it's great therapy!. Well done on your weight loss, that's a good amount to have lost, don't deprive yourself of what you enjoy though, I believe that life is for living, and a bit of what you fancy does you no harm (I was a pastry chef, so I had to live by that rule!). I have three Children, My Daughter is nearly ten yrs old, then my son will be 8 next month, and my littlest is Kaleb (pronounced Kayleb) and he has just turned one yr old. I enjoy being an at home Mum, until I have to go back to work, not just yet, thankfully. Do your Sons still live at home?, it must be maddness having teenagers at Home, they grow up quicker these days, well will be back soon, the baby is on a trail of distruction ! Bye for now x Don't sit up close at the ballet...it spoils the illusion... Edited about 1 month ago |

Read one mum's account of how she's coping with her twins as they are about to begin puberty...
If you could wave a wand and make one of these happen, which would it be?
