my grand daughter is 22 months.she is not spoilt but extremely headstrong.my daughter put her in her cot this morning for a nap and went downstairs.5 minutes later she heard a huge bang from upstairs.madam had climbed over the edge of the cot.luckily the only damage is a carpet burn on her forehead.the problem is what does my daughter do now? the baby is too young for a bed but she now knows any time she doesnt want to go to sleep she can get out.

Sounds like she's just a normal toddler jackie. she might not be too old for a bed you know. i think you can try kids from 2 onwards and she's almost that age.

one thing i would say though is make sure your granddaughter is properly tired when she is put in the cot otherwise she willl try and get out. my dh can't quite jump out but chucks everything out of the cot when she wakes up and doesnt want to be there.

does she have a good sleep routine? if she does then its probably a case of her not wanting to be in her cot
