People over for lunch foodabout 1 year agoIve got a couple of people coming over for lunch on the weekend and dont wanna look like ive gone to alot of effort (actually I really dont want to go to alot of effort) just want to make a couple of buffett sytle plates of food and a nice dessert - any ideas anyone? - thanks ladies |

I always think that part baked bread is a great idea - just bung it in the oven for a few minutes and you have fresh bread and a lovely smell in the house! You can put out a selection of cheeses and hams etc and salad. Desert - chop up loads of fruit and get them to help themselves. Put out some single cream or that stuff in an aerosol can. You could also visit the deli counter at your supermarket and see what they've got to offer for variety. That's what I'd do anyway :o) And get them to bring a bottle of wine *lol* Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky. |

I didn't have time to answer before but I tried the chopped fruits with cream for dessert, it went down well actually so thanks. We had a barbie in the end coz the weather was so nice but thanks for the ideas. Never say never and never say always |
