love or just sex????

ive been with my boyfriend for about 4 months now  , we are both 17 and he says he loves me but i am not sure if he really means it. i recently found a instant messaging conversation with someone else that was dated to just before we met. the conversation says that he doesn't want a relationship for a few years and wants all the sex he missed out on when he was with his ex. he also always wants to have sex and will get upset if im tired or dont want to. ive tried to talk to him but always says  that he loves me and i wouldnt do anything to hurt me but we never actually talk about whats bothering us. i am really confused as i have had some bad experiences in the past with relationships and i dont know what to do? i love him but if i'm just sex then i need to know.

There is more to a relationship than just sex...one thing I have learnt is that communication is the key to a healthy relationship. A good partner is you lover and your best friend...

I wish I could tell you different but he seems to be the kind of guy who is interested in only one thing and you seem too nice to put up with that. You deserve everyting a relationship has to offer not just the perks to him. it seems to me that he is having his cake and eating it too...You clearly feel that something is missing, you deserve to be happy. You are young and have a whole life ahead of you, you don't need to waste it on something that doesn't make you happy. Another thing I have learnt is always put your own happiness first if you are not happy with this 'sexual' relationship then search for something more which is no less than you deserve...I hope I have helped you in someway...Good luck

WELL MOST 17 YEAR OLD BOYS ARE JUST ALL ABOUT SEX AND GIRLS ITS JUST A PART OF THEM BECOMING MEN EVEN THOUGH ITS PROB NOT WHAT U WANNA HEAR AND HEL PROB TAKE A GOOD FEW YEARS TO GROW OUT OF IT BUT SOME MEN NEVER DO I CAN ONLY GO BY MY EXPIERIANCES AND WEN I WAS 18 I WENT OUT WITH SOMEONE WHO WAS 26 AND HE WAS READY TO SETTLE DOWN AND HAVE A RELATIONSIP I KNOW U PROBABLY LOVE HIM BUT I DONT THINK HES GOING TO BE WHAT U WANT YET AT THAT AGE THEYR ALL SEX PESTS IS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY LOL WELL GOOD LUCK ANYWAY
