Kung Fu Panda!

Hello everyone - did you all have a nice weekend?

My hubby was on a late shift yesterday so I took my girls to see Kung Fu Panda (for getting good school reports). I'm so glad I went - it was brilliant! Has anyone else seen it?

The action scenes are amazing and there are parts that really make you jump - I had to keep reminding myself that I was watching a cartoon! There are really funny parts in it too, stuff that made us laugh out loud. I won't go into detail because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

But I thought it was great :o)

Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky.

Thanks for the recommendation, my daughter wants to go and see that so I'll make sure I tag along. She and I watched the dvd of Madagascar again this weekend. It never fails to make me laugh. Just like Midsomer Murder which was on last night. Did you see it? It's one of my favourite programmes but it's so over the top you can't help but laugh sometimes. I love the villages the show's set in though, they're really pretty.

Yep, definitely go see it - and take the boys too. I'm just sorry we didn't wait and go with my hubby because he loves action films.

Madagascar IS a good film but my favourite is still Toy Story 1 and 2, they're just so clever! We watched TS2 on Sat afternoon and it still makes me laugh!

While we're on films, Mannequin was on TV on Saturday night - did we really dress like that and think it was cool in the 1980s? *lol*

I didn't just watch TV and do washing all weekend - I did manage to get out with the girls on Friday night. We were out with a load of firemen :o) It was a pretty good night, but I'm glad I'm not single anymore - the pubs did resemble cattle markets!

When my eldest was small he was obsessed with fire engines and being a fireman. One day I was taking him to nursery when I saw a fire engine coming. ' Ooh look, a fire engine,' I said to him. ' Wave.' I waved and so did the fireman. About five minutes later I realised my son was so low down in his seat they wouldn't have been able to see him at all so they'd just seen me gaily waving as I whizzed by. Talk about embarrassed!

While I have you attention June - WHEN is the website going to be sorted out?! I have all sorts of problems with the chat site. If I haven't logged in and want to reply, it makes me log in (which I had to change my password for!) and then when I click on "Click to Continue" it takes me back to the home page! Surely it should take me back to the chat thread?

Also, what's going on with this reply thing? It takes ages to load and then the box changes from small to big half way through and I lose my typing!

It's been quiet on here for weeks and I think this is why!

But anyway, yes most firemen will wave back. I always wave at fire engines, even ones from different stations! I think most firemen know how popular they are with the ladies and some of the ones I work with are tarty :o)

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been all over the place this week - not in my head but

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply but it's been one of those weeks. I had to go up to Leeds for one meeting, which meant a whole day out of the office and had a nasty knock on effect on what was waiting for me on my desk! Anyway, I just wanted to say a big sorry for the way the site has been treating you. Ironically it's been playing up because we've been a lot of work behind the scenes to try and make it more efficient. Anyway, I do understand your frustration and I can only say please bear with us while we get this sorted. The site wouldn't be right without you chatting on it!

Ah, that's really sweet of you to say so! I know that there's work being done on the site, and I've noticed the changes, I even had a nice email from someone to tell me :o)

It just gets a bit frustrating when I can't have my say *lol* I'm sorry if I sounded blunt in my last message :o)
