Sleep & night lightsabout 1 year agoIs there a good age or magic age when a child doesn't need a night light any more? My youngest is 9 and hates the dark. I don't mind him having a night light but new husband thinks he's a baby and should grow up. Any ideas please would be gratefully received. |

Re: Sleep & night lightsabout 1 year agoPersonally, I don't think there's anything wrong with having a night light. My sister in law has always had one on her landing, even before her and my brother had kids! We've never had a night light because we never had one right from the beginning and now my girls can't sleep unless it's dark in their rooms (in fact, I had to get a blackout lining sown into their curtains!). So I wouldn't worry about your 9 year old son. There's nothing babyish about wanting a night light, if you ask me. He'll probably phase himself off it in a year or two when he realises that his friends don't have them. I just don't think it's important enough to try and "wean" him off it, if you know what I mean. If it makes him settled at night, then why worry? Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky. |
