Re: is 17 month too young for potty trainingabout 1 month agoHi Mandy, if Amber is showing signs of wanting to sit on a potty, then you shouldn't stop her. It is very early for her to be trained but I know people whose children started this young. Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky. |

Re: is 17 month too young for potty trainingabout 1 month agothanks nina the main reason that i noticed she might be ready is that she pulls at her nappy and i sit her on the potty but she wont do anything then she poos as soon as i pull her nappy back up shes seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds at the moment so i dont know weather it is just one more thing she is doing early on |

Re: is 17 month too young for potty training29 days agoHi Mandy, I agree with Nina - if she's doing it, let her carry on. You might find you still need to put a nappy on her during the night, as that's often the most difficult bit. We've got a book at home that teaches you how to potty train your child early, but I think it depends on each one's own personality. My 2-year-old knows exactly what to do, puts many of her dollies and toys on the potty and even tells us when she's done a No.2, but is showing no inclination to do it herself on the potty. We ask her, but she always says 'no'. We'll just let it happen naturally - every child does it eventually and some it do a lot earlier, some a lot later. I say go for it! You had me at 'hello!' |
