Man food!10 months agoI reckon we've all been there... we've got a bloke and living with him is making us put on the pounds because we keep stocking the cupboards with man food to keep him happy. You know, BBQ crisps and mayo and frozen dinners and anything so long as it's not green. Why do men fear vegetables? Has anyone been in this situation? Has anyone found any Man Food meals that men will eat but women will lose weight from? What seems to work for me and the boyface is: HOME MADE KEBABS You get lamb chunks, let your man fry them up with moroccan spices that you get in any supermarket (men seem to like cooking once it comes to meat, gives them a caveman feeling maybe??), and put the lamb in a pita with a bit of reduced fat greek yoghurt. Men like it because it's a kebab, women like it because it's healthy and quite lean meat. Um, I've got some other guaranteed healthy man food ideas but not that many. Does anyone else have some good ideas? |

Re: Man food!10 months agooh yeah! tthe comfort stone they call it - when you put on weight because you're happy in your relationship with your man and you end up eating his type of food. rubbish isn't it? i think it's a trick to make sure that you get so big that you can't leave the house and no other man can have you - hmm, maybe that's a bit far fetched, and it works both ways, anyway, there's a really good feature on here about how to stop your man from making you fat: http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/diet/258637/Stop-your-relationship-making- you-fat There's also a brill quiz: http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/relationships/258599/Is-your-man-making-yo u-fat- i dont need a man or a quiz to tell me i'm fat - i know i am : (

Re: Man food!10 months agoYou should have less action in the kitchen/ dining room and more in the bedroom *lol* I always have a smaller meal than my husband, unless I'm very hungry. I think that's the key really - portion control. As for snacking, I've always been the snacker of our couple so I don't know what to advise! Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky. |

Re: Man food!10 months agoLol, yes bedroom action, that's one way to lose weight !! If you don't mind me asking, what sort of meals do you cook up for your family? Have you got any tips for stuff that's cheap, stuff that goes a long way? Edited 10 months ago by UNKNOWN USER |

Re: Man food!10 months agoHiya, No, I don't mind you asking at all My Indian meals are very mild and mostly vegetarian (although we're not vegetarians) - my favourites are yellow lentils. My youngest like those too. My middle one like chicken curry and my eldest loves chick peas or kidney beans. We cook meat the Indian way maybe once or twice a month although we have meat in other dishes like sausages and stuff. I have to say that I'm not a very adventurous cook when it comes to English food but I've found a couple of good recipes on this site which I've done at home and everyone's enjoyed. We also discovered baking last year - it's so easy! I thought it would be much more difficult to bake a cake! Anyway, what kind of things do you cook at home? Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky. |
