Does everyone normally eat this healthily or is it because you know you're posting it on here? Yesterday, I had:

Pint of water, glass of juice, cup of tea (getting self and kids ready before school run and coming to work)

Two satsumas, bowl of shreddies

Cup of tea

Egg sandwiches on wholemeal bread, no mayo, pint of water

Cup of tea, two white chocolate cookies (OK - two giant white chocolate cookies - colleague's fault, she didn't want hers!)

Garlic baguette, potato and kidney bean curry, pint of water

Cup of hot semi skimmed milk

Not bad, considering I normally have either 4 packets of crisps or half a tube of Pringles each evening (really MUST stop going to Asda when I'm hungry!

Today, so far, I've had:

Pint of water, glass of juice, cup of tea

Two satsumas (you may have guessed, I lurve Satsumas)

Bowl of shreddies at 11am (mad morning at work, didn't get a chance to eat until then)

It's 11:30 now and I have soup and a wholemeal roll for lunch. Did anyone watch Corrie on Monday night? I have potato and leek soup - I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since that episode! Not had potato and leek soup for years!

Does anyone else find that if they don't eat junk food, they stop craving it? I'm one of these people who can't just have a little bit, so maybe I should steer clear altogether?

Well, I've finally moved house and discovered ASDA. At last. A proper cheap supermarket, even if it is owned by Walmart!

Thanks to ASDA, I'm now having really cheap packed lunches. Basically, I write down the ingredients of my favourite salads in the local food places near to work, then I make them at home and bring them in with a bit of roast chicken breast. Cheap, healthy and I get a lot more salad in my box than I would have if I'd bought it from the shop...

Yes, I love Asda too - it's round the corner from where we live and we get most of the stuff we need (and quite a lot of the stuff we don't need!) from there. It's handy for kids clothes too. I treat mine occasionally with expensive stuff but when they're only going to be wearing clothes for a couple of months before growing out of them, there doesn't seem to be much point in splashing out. I get most of my casual clothes from there too.

That's a good idea for salads - I might try that one out, Mooksy. I like buying soup too to get away from the monotony of sandwiches. But it helps if you have a microwave at work for that kind of thing!

When it snowed, I'd done the girls sandwiches for school but decided to take bread and a tin of beans for beans on toast as I felt it was too cold for sarnies. Then I looked at my children and felt mean giving them a cold meal to eat, so I paid for them to have a school dinner - FOUR POUNDS TWENTY! For one day! For a meal that they didn't really like and which my youngest wouldn't finish! I'm probably to blame - it sounded like the food was OK but it didn't have much taste to it (i.e. not enough garlic *lol*).

Don't sweat the small stuff. It will make you stinky.
