Problems with alcohol

theyre talking about putting up tax on booze to cut alchol problems but i have friends whos kids buy alcopops from the offy and drink all evening. i dont think it will help.

what does anyone else think?

I don't think putting up taxes on alcohol is going to help either - I mean, look at how expensive cigarettes are and people still smoke. I think putting up taxes on booze is the government's way of squeezing more money out of us poor souls!

I think they need more programmes to help binge drinkers and alcoholics. Kids need to be told that it isn't cool to drink yourself into a coma or worse. My main thought on this is that kids need somewhere to GO in their free time and something to DO.

What does everyone else think? If kids are left to literally wander the streets with no guidance then they are going to get up to no good.

I don't think putting up tax will solve any think as i used to drink alot and if you got problems then you keep on drinking no matter if they but up tax. they Should think about solving the problem with teenagers and putting the money too good use.

It's basically a money scheme. Flat out obvious. If they wanted people to atleast slow down on drinking, the government should limit the supply of the distribution. Atleast something like that would tell a person "hey, its time to stop."
