Our crafter Gemma Chandler shows you how to save the environment AND keep your mini me's entertained with this easy-to-make recycled tin can craft!
Your little ones will love donning these circus-themed elephants feet to stomp about in and make a grand entrance. This fun craft is perfect for 5-7 year olds.
You will need
- Large empty tin cans
- Black marker pen
- Hammer and nail
- Grey paint
- Pencil
- Pink paint
- String
Step 1
Mark a point on opposite sides of the closed end of the can with a pen. Ask an adult to hammer a nail through at these points, to create 2 holes.
Step 2
Paint the outside of the cans with grey paint and leave to dry. Draw some toes on the bottom of each can, and paint with pink paint. Leave to dry, then outline the toes with black pen.
Step 3
Cut 2 lengths of string measuring around 150cm each (depending on your child's height)and thread the ends through the holes in each side of the can. Tie knots inside to hold the string in place.
