I didn't deliberately decide to start eating a Mediterranean diet. Me and my husband went on holiday to Sicily and while we were there, we ate lots of fruit, especially apricots and watermelons grown at the B&B we were staying in, plus fish, tomato sauces on pasta and olive oil. By the time we came home, we felt great, my skin was better and my hair was shining!

I started to read up about the Mediterranean way of life and realised how healthy it was. We'd tended to eat so much stodge, especially in the evenings, but I tried to change that so we were eating more fish and vegetables.

I've lost half a stone in about four months and our doctor told my husband his blood pressure's improved. We're definitely going to keep this up.

I bought the mediterranean diet book from the-mediterranean-diet.co.uk i have been following the 28 day diet plan and feel much healthier and better from it. would recommend it

I have also found that the Mediterranean diet works for me, My husband and I went to Sardinia in June for one week and both came home half a stone lighter each, yet we ate three meals a day and still had a couple of glasses of red wine with lunch and dinner.
