I tried the Eat What You Like Diet
I had my moment of truth in a Barratts shoe shop. I was trying on a pair of ankle boots and I couldn't even reach to zip them up because my stomach was in the way. That's when I knew I had to do something. A friend told me I should keep a food diary so I searched on the internet and found the Eat What You Like Diet, or Nutracheck Diet.
The first six months were better than I'd expected. I was aiming to lose one and a half pounds every week, which is the recommended amount, but I ended up losing two pounds a week. It's changed my attitude completely because there's no point eating and then lying to yourself about it. Writing it down forces you to be honest.
I start each morning with my mobile and tot up what I want to eat that day. I plan ahead and always make sure I've got something low calorie to nibble on in my handbag, like dried apricots, so I'm not tempted to buy snacks.
Less than two years later, I've lost five stone and wear a size 16. Colleagues and friends still walk straight past me sometimes because they don't recognise me!

I started the Bootsdiets.com (which is run in conjunction with Nutracheck) at the end of April and I've lost nearly two and a half stone, I thoroughly recommend this diet to anybody looking a sensible, long-term weight loss!!!!!

I haven't really been dieting but have cut out alot of the cakes and pastries I was eating out and in January signed up with my local gym. Since increasing my exercise, I do Body Attack, Body Combat, Body Conditioning, Body Sep and Aerotone, I have lost 3 stone and have gone from a dress size 24/26 and now take 18/20. I'm aiming for size 16, then I'll cut down on the exercise and just maintain.
