What can you eat?

Average rating: 4 out of 5 star rating

Everything that doesn't include dairy and the milk-free alternative foods that are now sold in most big supermarkets. Milk and yoghurts made from soya and rice are just as tasty and won't upset your stomach. Try Rice Dream Original on your cornflakes or Alpro Soya yoghurts poured over fruit. You can buy a soya spread to use instead of butter or margarine.

Typical day's diet

Breakfast: Shredded wheat with soya/rice milk, 2 slices wholemeal bread with non-dairy spread.
Lunch: Homemade vegtable soup, chicken salad, fruit.
Dinner: Tuna Risotto, veg, fruit based sorbet.
Snacks: Dried apricots, nuts.

Top tip

Certain ethnic groups are much more likely to be lactose intolerant than others. According to the NHS, only 10 per cent of Northern Europeans are lactose intolerant compared with 75 per cent of Afro-Caribbean people and 95 per cent of Asian people.

That's a totally wrong and is a lie. Dairy is by far not the best source of calcium. Dairy causes Osteoperosis as the lactose (sugar) in dairy leaches calcium from the bones, besides much of the goodness has been destroyed in pasturised milk as opposed to the natural raw, unheated milk. The reason we have only adapted to being able to digest milk in the past few thousand years is because humans aren't supposed to drink it. Why is it that 90% of Asians and 75% of Afro-Carribeans can't degest it? Human babies stop being able to digest milk after a year or so because it stops feeding from its mother. Just the same, cows milk is meant to feed and grow baby cows not humans. Cows have to be artificially inseminated to keep it constantly lactating, however, what you're not told is that in order for us to consume the milk the new born calf is taken away from its mother and not allowed to drink her milk like it should do. It is time people are told the truth.
