What can you eat on a Mediterranean Diet?
Fruit, veg, nuts, pulses, seeds, lean meat, fish, seafood, olive oil, red wine.
Typical day's diet
Breakfast: Natural yoghurt with honey, nuts and dried fruit
Lunch: Wholemeal pasta with homemade tomato, onion, garlic and black olive sauce. Fruit
Dinner: Grilled fish, Greek salad with olive oil dressing
Top tip: A recent study suggested kids who eat a Mediterranean diet are less likely to suffer from respiratory allergies. Very few children on the Greek island of Crete have asthma and scientists think this could be to do with the fact they tend to eat more fruit and veg every day.

Even though I now live in England, I am originally from NY from Italian descent. I can tell you that this is a wonderful way of eating and my fiance who is 100% English is so enjoying my Italian meals. All very simple but very healthy. I primarily use pasta, beans, olive oil, green peas, lots of garlic, basil, oregano, rosemary, and tons of tomatoes. Give it a try. Buon Apetito !!!!
