Mike McInnes on slimming while you sleep
The body needs 80g glucose to set off a chain reaction of hormones, including the stimulation of the pituitary gland, which is responsible for fat breakdown while we sleep. Yet we lose up to 10g glucose an hour between eating supper and going to bed, so have two dessert spoons of good quality honey before you drift off to sleep at night.
