Become an aerobics instructor

Become an aerobics instructor
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

What do they do?
Aerobics instructors can work for one gym or be self-employed and teach at various venues. Don't contemplate this as a job unless you've got bags of energy!

What qualifications do you need?
The YMCA Exercise to Music course qualifies you to teach and takes 13 days, plus assessment (costing £600). You can add on modules, e.g. circuit training, group indoor cycling etc.

How much do they earn?
About £15 an hour if you're paid by a gym - more if you're working for yourself and can keep all of your class fees (about £5 per person) minus the hire of a hall. But the intensity of the activity means you can only teach for 8-10 hours a week.
