Diet guru Monica Grenfell is talking fast foods that are bursting with goodness to boost your body inside and out. Bring them on...

1. Sunflower seeds
Best for: Vitamin E
Vitamin E is fantastic for fighting ageing, stress, pollution and all types of infections.
How much and how often?
6mg vitamin E a day, which is found in just 1tbsp of sunflower seeds. Sprinkle on breakfast cereal or into stir-fries or salads to top up your reserves.
Alternatives:
1tbsp wheatgerm, six almonds.

2. Sardines
Best for: Calcium
This is vital to help develop and maintain your bones and teeth. The younger you start topping up daily calcium, the better, as your bones stop growing and developing by the age of 25. It also helps muscles to contract properly, which is vital if you exercise regularly.
How much and how often?
700mg of calcium a day - you can get enough from eating six sardines.
Alternatives
2 pints milk, 100g cheese.
