My tip is stay in control and insist you're informed of what's going on at every stage of your labour. When I was having Casey, a doctor suddenly appeared who hadn't been there before and it really worried me. Turns out he was just observing but things like that can really affect you so insist you're kept informed at every stage of your labour.
