'How I avoided a breech birth'
Average rating:
I'd really hope to have a natural birth, but at 36 weeks, my midwife told me that my baby was still in the breech position and wasn't sure if he would turn in time. With my baby's feet in the down position I only had two options: to have manual turning, which simply sounded awful, or failing that, a Caesarean section. I was so disappointed, but the midwife taught me some easy exercises I could do to encourage my baby to turn into the right position.
With every free, non-tired moment, I spent the next five weeks with my bum raised on spare pillows with my legs dangling over the edge of the settee, while keeping my head on the floor. The aim was to get my thighs higher than my head and in theory gravity should work its magic.
Three days before my due date, my baby turned and was finally in the right position. I got the natural birth after all and only two days late!

i'v had all my 3 children early but had 72 hour labours with all 3!!! i was told it was because the baby was back2back.i'v found out today i'm pregnant again and wondered if i can do anything different to stop this from happening again?? i'm really happy to be pregnant again but all i'll dream about now is a long labour.i was told that the moor kids you have the shorter the births would be is this really true???
