Simon's a lad's lad, who loves his football, rugby and beer. So when I said I expected him to be at the NCT classes with me, he was mortified saying, "So I have to put that massive bump apron on and prance around?"

I made him feel guilty and he reluctantly went to the classes with me. But Simon surprised both me and himself. He really enjoyed the classes and became more sensitive to my needs. And at the birth of our son Jake, his eyes welled up and he even cut the cord.

My pregnancy has brought us even closer together than before and Si loves to help out with Jake. Before he would say it was my job, but now he loves to change and bathe Jake when he's home from work so I can have a rest.
