- Go to antenatal classes. If you know what's going on, you're less likely to get stressed.
- Discuss the birth plan so you can speak up for your partner.
- Don't be a coach - you're there to support, not lead.
- Squeamish? Concentrate on holding her hand (and staying at the head end of the bed).
