As my husband and I recently emigrated to the UK from Australia and haven't been here long enough to get credit cards, we have to pay cash for everything. It's not a bad thing though as it's I've become great at finding those bargains, which was especially useful for baby stuff.

Using the internet really helps save money. I regularly use www.moneysavingexpert.com to make sure I've got the best deals on utilities and insurance.

I've also joined various parenting clubs at stores such as Boots and Tesco. I now get regular discount vouchers to use at these shops, which helps save even more money.
