Buying for a new baby is so expensive, but I managed to save money by going to France after a friend told me that it?s much cheaper over there. We took the ferry to Calais for the day, which cost £50, and filled up the car at the nearby shops with baby stuff.

Basics such as bed linen, prams and cots were about 30% cheaper than here in the UK, so we saved ourselves a lot of money.
