What to do if your child is telling little white lies

What to do if your child is telling little white lies
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

Between six and seven years, children develop a sense of right and wrong. Before that, fantasy and fact may be confused. 'I saw a monkey in the garden,' might mean, 'I wish I could see a monkey in the garden.'

If you think your child's lying about something, gently tell him that honesty is best and avoid hefty penalties when he owns up to mistakes.

Praise him when he shows he knows truth from fantasy and celebrate his imagination it'll give him a head start at school.

Crystal, about 1 year

What do you do if the white lies are from a 10 year old girl that has never lied before and always been the perfect child? I have tried everything talking to her about lying grounding her taking things away and nothing is working! Im scared that if I dont stop this now....it will only get worse
