Coping with stressed-out kids
Six to 10-year-olds often show their stress by getting angry and having mood swings. Try not to snap at them. Sit down when you're feeling calm yourself and ask them what's wrong. If you're calm, they're more likely to follow suit. Try saying something like 'Can you tell me what you're thinking?'

I think this is a very good idea and i definately think that approach helped when i was a young kid. My mum always took this approach. I am 14 years old
