How to deal with a daughter who has sports day anxiety

How to deal with a daughter who has sports day anxiety
Average rating: 4 out of 5 star rating

Tell her the race is simply part of the day and the important thing is taking part, not winning it. Say you're proud of her for taking part and she's very brave. Point out that everyone is different and it's impossible for us all to be good at everything. List the things she's good at. Then tell her about your skills and the things you find hard to do!

Advise her to walk away from anyone who teases her. Lessons like this can also be valuable in teaching her to be kind to others if they fail in areas she's good at.
