What to do when your child stays out too late

What to do when your child stays out too late
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

Don't have a discussion when you're feeling angry. Choose a time when you're both relaxed. Keep your tone calm and give her time and space to tell her side. Explain why you're concerned and how it makes you feel. Is she under peer pressure to conform, or is this lateness her choice?

It's important to come to an agreement about what's reasonable for her safety and wellbeing. She needs to understand you have to be able to trust her, but you could always offer her a bit more leeway to see if things improve.
