Babies who put things into their mouths
Children reach the developmental stage of wanting to experience and understand all that's new. They use every available tool they have, and their mouth, tongue and lips are favourites. They're very sensitive and give them lots of information about texture, smell, taste and sensation. It's an important experience for them, and one that should be encouraged, with safety and hygiene in mind. Be sensible: as long as things are clean and she's not putting small parts in her mouth, she'll be fine.
