NEVER LOOSE YOUR PATIENCE WITH THE CHILD WHEN POTTY TRAINING, REWARD THEM IN SOME SMALL WAY IF THEY ARE DOING IT RIGHT, LIKE TELLING YOU WHEN THEY NEED TO GO,MAKE PUBLIC TOILETS KNOWN TO YOURSELF IF YOU ARE OUT FOR THE DAY, CARRY SPARE PANTS FOR THEM OR USE PULLUPS WHEN OUT INCASE OF LITTLE MISSHAPS.

Make sure you are as ready as your toddler to start potty training. Once your child shows ALL the signs of wanting to use potty, i.e. can tell you when he has wee'd or pooed, is happy to follow basic instruction and is keen to wear Big boy/girl pants he is ready to try. Ensure you have approx 4 days with no pressing engagements or appointments so that you can dedicate you time to helping your child to understand what the potty is for. Dont expect him to grasp it right away, it is major milestone and one which needs plenty of understanding and patience. Instead of scolding or seeming disappointed, try praising him for even sitting on the potty, even if he doesnt do anything,....he will soon get whats required of him, Make a huge fuss if he does a wee or poo, he will hopefully quickly understand what to do. If after 4 days there is little progress, abandon and try again in a few weeks.
