How to get your toddler to eat more vegetables

How get your toddler to eat more vegetables

  • Food can look colourful and attractive on the plate if you use a variety of different coloured foods such as chunks of red and yellow pepper mixed in a stirfry with broccoli.
  • You can 'hide' vegetables in a stew, lasagne or pasta sauce.
  • Try to vary your cooking method from day to day. Stir-frying vegetables is good for vegetables and they are less soggy than when boiled. You can also cook a selection of colourful vegetables together with some soya sauce as flavouring.
  • Finger foods are always a winner - try offering small pots of nutritious dips with vegetable or fruit fingers.
