Helping your teenager say no

Helping your teenager say no
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

Talk to your child about how to handle feeling uncomfortable about saying 'no' to their friends if they need to. Tell them is to keep it simple: avoid apologising or explaining, and remember that the right friends will respect their feelings and decisions. This may feel difficult, but communicating reasonably and openly with your children has been proven to help minimise their susceptibility to negative influences, such as drugs.
