Helping your child deal with their feelings

Helping your child deal with their feelings
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

You can't wave a magic wand and vanish away a child's unhappy feelings. What you can do is help them learn how to manage what they do about them. So encourage them to say, 'I feel angry/left out/put down', instead of hitting out.

JACK RODRIGUES, about 1 year

well-i always feel low and upset, at school i dont have people to play with. teachers dont help matters but one today ask me if i had any problems and i said (no) tomorrow if i go to school i will ask my teacher weather she can have 5 mins with me. i was just going to tell her about my problems, plus i was going to ask her that if one hour i suddenly feel really upset weather i can go out of the classroom for 10mins.
