What to do if you think your child's taking drugs

What to do if you think your child's taking drugs
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

If you think your teen is taking drugs, wait until the shock and panic have worn off, then talk calmly to them. Wait till they're not under the influence. Ask questions, don't make assumptions or lecture. If they're using drugs regularly, there's probably a wider problem, so check how they feel about other things like school or tensions at home. Offer help, but remember they might find it easier to talk to someone outside the family. Don't try to cope alone. Try www.talktofrank.com. or www.ndh.org.uk.
