Advice for relatives
It can be a really hard time watching your grandchild or relative being given up for adoption.
It doesn't necessarily mean goodbye though. If you want to maintain contact with them your contact rights will be set around your individual circumstances. You don't have to do it directly either, you can get support groups like After Adoption to help mediate with the adoptive parents and try to set up an informal agreement. Your doctor can be part of any contact plans too.
