Your baby
The term 'foetus' can now be used to describe your baby. Baby weighs about the same as 4 paper clips and is around the size and shape of a shrimp.
Baby's ears are now completely formed as well as the top lip. This is the first week that the 'tail' disappears and wrists, fingers, ankles and toes are forming and baby can make a partial fist.
You
Your uterus is around the size of a grapefruit by now and you may be offered a dating scan and a nuchal test.
You should be taking a daily folic acid tablet to reduce the likelihood of any spinal defects in your baby, and try to eat every four hours to cope with your increasing energy needs.
